In principle, land management and administration are defined as the planning, managing, administrating system of the methods and techniques aiming at integrating ecological,
social, economic, legal principles related to the purposes and the managements of lands for urban and rural development. Because, land is the essential resources for the
human survival and for the maintaining ecosystems so that education related to land management and administration has become more important for sustainable development.

In Cambodia, human resources, who are working on this field, are very imited. Hence, the Faculty of Land Management and Land Administration has been established since 2002
by the agreementbetween the Management and Administration Project of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction and the Royal University of Agriculture
of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries to meet the country's needs.

In Cambodia, no such education has been offered up to now. Consequently, there is a lack of human resources in this field. Therefore, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC) together with Royal University of Agriculture established a new bachelor program for “Land Management and Land Administration”. The program was     supported by a loan from the World Bank (WB) and technical assistance from Germany.
