Our 2-year Associate Degree Programs provide students with a strong foundation in both theory and hands-on practice. These programs are designed to prepare students for immediate employment or further study. Graduates can continue to a bachelor’s degree in the same field at RUA, advancing their education and career in agriculture and related industries.
Program Pathway
Our Existing Associate Degree Programs at SAVET of RUA
1. Animal Production (link to curriculum)
This program trains students in livestock and poultry farming. It combines theory and hands-on experience in animal care, breeding, nutrition, and farm management. Graduates are equipped to work on farms, in animal health services, or continue to a bachelor's degree in Animal Science at RUA.

2. Post-Harvest Technology and Food Processing (link to curriculum)
Students learn how to handle, store, and process agricultural products after harvest. The program focuses on reducing food loss, improving food quality, and adding value through food preservation and processing. Graduates can work in food industries or continue to a bachelor's program in Food Science or Agro-Industry at RUA.

3. Facility and Industrial Maintenance Technology (link to curriculum)
This program focuses on the repair, maintenance, and operation of equipment and systems used in agricultural and industrial settings. Students gain practical skills in mechanical, electrical, and technical maintenance. Graduates are prepared for careers in factory maintenance or can continue to a related engineering or technical bachelor's program at RUA.

Food Processing and Post-harvest Techniques
1. Training course on beverage processing (link to curriculum)
This training course is designed to equip participants focus on practical skills in the beverage formulation, ingredient preparation, methods of natural preservation and hygienic packaging. Participants can understand how to make Ripe tamarind tea, Corn juice and Roselle juice.

Animal Production
1. Training course on cage preparation and biosecurity (link to curriculum)
This training course focus on cage setup, biosecurity, disinfection, and pathogen control. It is designed to equip participants—especially livestock and poultry farmers, animal health workers, and farm managers—with practical skills. It emphasizes the importance of creating a clean, safe, and disease-free environment to ensure animal health.

2. Training course on vaccine and poultry vaccination technique (link to curriculum)
This training course provides participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to poultry vaccines, vaccine formulation technique, disease type with appropriate vaccines and vaccination techniques. The course is designed for poultry farmers, veterinary technicians, farm managers, and animal health workers who are responsible for the health and disease prevention of poultry.

3. Training course on poultry feed and feed formulation techniques (link to curriculum)
This training course is designed to provide participants with theory and hands-on practical skills in nutritional needs of poultry, differences in nutrient requirements by age and feed formulation techniques. It is ideal for poultry farmers, farm managers, and anyone involved in poultry production who wants to improve flock health and productivity through better feeding practices.
